Send your invitations

Write the email, test it on yourself, then send it to your guests.

  1. Open the invitation template

On the Emails tab, go to Templates and open the invitation template. Every event starts with a written starting point you can change, already built as blocks.

  2. Write the email

Use the Blocks tab to build the email from pieces: Add block for things like a heading, text, image or button, click any block to edit it in the panel on the right, and drag its handle (or use the arrow buttons) to reorder. Click Insert wherever you see it to add a guest's name, the event date or the RSVP link as a chip, never typed by hand. Prefer plain HTML or want to paste in a design from elsewhere? Use the Own HTML tab instead. Click Preview to see the whole email at Phone and Desktop widths before you save, then Save as a new version when done. An older, classic-style template can be brought into the builder with Switch to the builder.

  3. Send a test to yourself

Still on the template, click Send test. It goes to your own address (and any extra addresses you add), marked [TEST], so you can check it before anyone else sees it.

  4. Approvals, if the event needs them

If Emails need approval before they go out is switched on in Settings, click Ask for approval on the template. Whoever approves emails on this event will see it under Approvals waiting, with Approve or Ask for changes.

  5. Create the campaign

On the Emails tab, go to Campaigns and click New campaign. Pick the template and the audience (everyone who has not been sent one yet, for example), then click Create campaign.

  6. Send it

Open the campaign and click Send now or schedule to send straight away or at a set time. You can Pause a campaign partway through, Resume it, or Cancel it before it starts.

  7. Follow replies in the inbox

Guest replies land in the Inbox tab on the event, or in Inbox in the main dock across every event. Each reply is linked back to the guest it came from.

  8. Send reminders

To chase guests who have not answered yet, create a new campaign the same way and choose an audience of guests who have not responded.
